What is Vocavoy?

Each course is a trip through 24 real cities, from first words (A1) to independent conversation (B1), and Spanish goes on to B2. Learners chat with an AI tutor, call it out loud, get every word of their pronunciation scored by an Accent Coach, and review words with spaced repetition. It is free to download and needs no sign-up.
Which languages can I learn with Vocavoy?
Spanish (Spain), French, Japanese, German, Korean and Italian. Each course has 24 cities, 72 lessons and more than 420 words and 480 phrases, from absolute beginner (A1) to independent conversation (B1). Spanish goes on to B2: 40 cities and 120 lessons.
Is Vocavoy free?
Vocavoy is free to download and you can start your first lesson without an account. AI voice calls include 15 free minutes a day.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Open the app and start: there is no email and no password. Your progress saves automatically and follows you to a new iPhone through iCloud Keychain, and you can delete your data at any time in Settings.
How long until I can hold a conversation?
About 30 days of short daily sessions takes you from your first hello to ordering food, asking directions, shopping and talking about your day. That is A2 level: everyday conversation, not fluency.
How does the Accent Coach score my pronunciation?
You say a phrase out loud. Vocavoy transcribes what it heard and compares it word by word with what you meant to say, then shows which words sounded natural and which need work, with a tip for the exact sound: the Spanish rolled R, the French R, German ü and ö, Japanese long vowels, Korean ㄷ/ㄸ/ㅌ or Italian double letters.
What can the AI tutor do?
Croco, the tutor, plays real scenes with you, like ordering a coffee, checking into a hotel or buying a souvenir. It replies at your level, corrects your mistakes and suggests what to say next. You can pick its personality (Sweet, Strict, Savage or Drama), create your own scenes, or call it and talk hands-free.
Can I use Vocavoy in my own language?
Yes. The app works in English, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, Italiano, 日本語, 한국어, 简体中文, हिन्दी. Word meanings, grammar notes and explanations appear in the language you choose.
Does Vocavoy work offline?
Yes. Download a city and its lessons and audio stay on your phone. Results you earn offline sync the next time you are online.
